This week, the Vatican’s Pontifical Council for Culture will hold a three-day event on the progress of regenerative medicine and cell therapy solutions that could treat diseases and reduce global suffering. The conference brings together the world’s leading scientists, patient advocates, physicians, philanthropists and government leaders to discuss the future of cellular therapy as well as recent breakthroughs.

Helmsley Trustee David Panzirer will speak on a panel alongside the leaders of two Helmsley grantee organizations, Dana Ball of T1D Exchange and Derek Rapp of JDRF. The panel will explore nonprofit investment approaches into cell therapy research and the search for effective treatments.
