Met Council Receives $200,000 Grant for Direct Services

Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty (Met Council) recently received a generous grant from the Helmsley Charitable Trust in order to help the vast and growing numbers of New Yorkers who are finding themselves in need. The $200,000 grant will support Met Council’s direct services, including food distribution, domestic violence counseling, crisis intervention services, and Projects Machson and Metropair, which provide home furnishings and repairs to seniors and families in need.
