Associate Program Officer
Aly Bancroft is an Associate Program Officer for the Helmsley Charitable Trust’s Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) Program. She helps to oversee the grants portfolio for improving T1D clinical care models as well as improving access to care.
During graduate school, Aly analyzed qualitative research with the Center for Health Policy & Inequalities Research at Duke University. Previously, she worked at the Feminist Women’s Health Center where she coordinated special events and raised money for the organization’s education, advocacy, and clinical care programs. She also completed a year of service as an AmeriCorps VISTA at the Medicare Rights Center.
Aly earned her Bachelor’s degrees at Miami University and holds a Master of Public Health degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has lived with T1D since 1991 and has volunteered with diabetes education programs in Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and the United States. Aly grew up in Atlanta, GA.
