Ariella Saperstein

Program Officer, Israel

Ariella Saperstein joined the Helmsley Charitable Trust as the Israel Program Officer in 2014, focusing on support for scientific and medical innovation, healthcare preparedness and Israel's standing in the world. She comes from nearly four years at American Friends of The Hebrew University where she oversaw grant writing and leadership as Executive Director of Governance & University Relations. She previously served as Assistant Director of the Anti-Defamation League’s New York Regional Office, planning four major public conferences on Middle East politics, directing lobbying efforts and leading educational workshops on Israel and combating anti-Semitism. 

Ariella has been awarded a Germany Close Up fellowship by the German government, an Israel Diplomatic Fellowship by the Israeli Consulate of New York, and was selected as a participant in the 2012 and 2013 New York Leaders program sponsored by the Foreign Policy Initiative. She holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Haverford College. Her interests are mainly literary, cultural, and culinary.
