Program Officer, Rural Healthcare
Heidi Schultz is the Program Officer for the Rural Healthcare Program where she assists in the development and management of grants that focus on healthcare access via technology which involves telemedicine to improve healthcare in rural areas.
Heidi has worked in the nonprofit sector for over 21 years in fundraising, marketing/communications/PR, and administration. She attained CFRE certification while raising funds at a children’s hospital over a 10-year period where her work included writing and coordinating grants for projects and programs, research, technology and capital needs. Most recently, she was a member of the senior leadership team for a statewide social service organization focusing on fundraising, communications, and staff and leadership development.
Heidi graduated from South Dakota State University with a B.A. in Commercial Economics and a minor in Spanish. She earned an MBA with specialization in Healthcare Systems Administration from Morehead State University, Morehead, Kentucky in December 2015. In addition to numerous community volunteer endeavors, she currently serves on the Miracle League of Sioux Falls Board of Directors and the ELCA SD Synod Endowment Board.
