Senior Program Officer, T1D
Marc Anderson is a Senior Program Officer for the Helmsley Charitable Trust's Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) Program. He oversees the current technology grant portfolio identifying and validating new research opportunities in the field of T1D.
Prior to joining the Trust, he served as the Manager of New Technology Development for JDRF, formerly the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the worlds’ largest funder of type 1 diabetes research. While there, he funded research and development projects for key technologies that will one day support artificial pancreas systems.
Marc also worked as a R&D project manager at Insulet Corporation, engineering and designing the OmniPod Insulin Management System. While there he played a key role in engineering multiple aspects of two generations of the OmniPod.
Marc holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Syracuse University L.C. Smith College of Engineering & Computer Science and a MBA from Boston University School of Management. His free time is spent with family activities including tennis, camping, skiing, and travel.
