Christopher R. Percopo
Manager, Grants Management Department
Christopher Percopo serves as Manager for the Grants Management Department at The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust. In this role Chris is responsible for the overall management of the organization’s grantmaking portfolio, the development of necessary policies and procedures, the creation of its online grant application process, and the installation and maintenance of the grants database, GIFTS. In addition to his duties related to the Trust’s grantmaking, he manages the department’s operating budget and works extensively in reporting across the organization, including finance, investments, programs, and to the Trustees.
Prior to joining the Trust, Chris worked as a fundraiser at various non-profits and held positions representing all areas of fundraising. A lifelong believer and practitioner in the non-profit field, Chris is passionate about measuring the impact that social service agencies have on the social inequities they are designed to combat. This has led Chris to work extensively on outcomes measurement and logic models, which have helped organizations better define their key performance indicators (KPI’s), as well as their desired short and long term outcomes.
Chris graduated from The George Washington University with a BA in Human Services (Non-Profit Management) and is currently completing his Masters in Public Administration at Baruch College in New York City. He is also involved with various area non-profits, including serving on two boards. Outside of work Chris enjoys skiing, traveling, and cooking for family and friends.
