Program Assistant, Type 1 Diabetes Program

Liz O’Donnell is the Program Assistant for the Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) Program at the Helmsley Charitable Trust.  In this role, she provides programmatic support for the Trust’s multi-million dollar T1D grants portfolio. Her primary responsibilities include initiating due diligence, serving as initial point of contact for all inquiries and RFPs, following-up with applicants, and managing T1D grants throughout their life cycle.

Prior to joining the Helmsley Trust in 2010, Liz worked as Executive Assistant at Lincolnshire Management in New York City and at Barclays Global Investors in San Francisco, California. Liz initially gained experience in the non-profit sector working as Assistant to the Event Coordinator at the Starlight Children’s Foundation NY/NJ/CT. She volunteers regularly for Starlight events and has recently become active in New York Cares programs.

Liz holds a B.A. in Liberal Arts from Villanova University with a minor in English. In her spare time, she enjoys photography, golfing, traveling and spending time with family.
