Sandra Moccia is a Senior Accountant at The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust. In this role, she works extensively with the Trust's Finance team, Investment's team and program areas to ensure the Trust's financial statements are in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as well as ensuring a strong foundation of internal controls. Sandra monitors and maintains the Trust's general ledger while also overseeing the tax compliance and reporting of the Trust.
Sandra has practiced accounting since 2002. Her experience includes auditing and tax preparation for non-profit entities including public charities, private foundations, museums, schools and social clubs.
Sandra attended Baruch College for undergraduate study and graduated from the College of Staten Island, City University of New York. She received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a minor in Finance. She is a professionally licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of New York and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) as well as the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA).
