Trista Kontz-Bartels is the Program Officer for the Rural Healthcare Program where she assists in the development and management of grants that focus on Cancer Screening and Care and Pre-Hospital Training and Care.
Before joining the Trust, Trista was the eCARE Development Manager for regional nonprofit Avera Health where she was responsible for the expansion of eHealth in rural communities; and Business Development Consultant for CIGNA where she coordinated marketing plans for pharmacy, forecasted yearly business plans, budgets, and return on investments.
A native of Sioux Falls, SD, Trista holds a master’s degree in business administration, healthcare concentration, from Sioux Falls College, and a bachelor’s degree in biology with minors in chemistry, math, and philosophy from Augustana College. In addition to being a lifelong volunteer for several community organizations, Trista serves as a health and fitness mentor; promoting the role of physical health in overall health and well being. When she has the time, Trista enjoys jogging, biking, swimming, and reading.
