Project Title
The Diagnostic and Therapeutic Potential of Targeting Microorganisms in Creeping Fat to Treat Ileal Fibrosis in Crohn's Disease
Project Description
Creeping fat is a poorly studied phenomenon that only occurs in Crohn’s disease and is thought to contribute to intestinal fibrosis and stricturing. This grant aims to explore the role of the microbes in the creeping fat and understand how they contribute to the intestinal inflammation and fibrosis seen during Crohn’s disease.
