Cavalier County Republican: CCMH Awarded Grant for State-of-the-Art X-Ray Equipment

The Cavalier County Republican featured Helmsley’s recent $282,213 grant to Cavalier County Memorial Hospital in North Dakota for the purchase of two new digital radiography x-ray machines. This updated technology will allow the hospital to provide speedier exams and clearer image quality while lowering radiation exposure for patients. 

The grant is part of Helmsley’s $14.2 million initiative to update x-ray technology across 50 rural hospitals, some of which were still using equipment that dated back to the 1960s. “Our goal has always been to improve access to exceptional medical treatment for those who live in rural America,” Helmsley Trustee Walter Panzirer said. “To that end, rural hospitals need to remain viable and have the latest equipment to ensure their patients can receive essential, quality healthcare services locally. This initiative is just one of many that strives to improve healthcare outcomes throughout the upper Midwest.”
