Radiology Equipment Initiative

The Helmsley Charitable Trust's Rural Healthcare Program has launched a Radiology Equipment Initiative, a funding opportunity for qualifying Critical Access Hospitals and not-for-profit clinics in Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming. This initiative follows a similar RFP launched in the summer of 2015 and again in 2017, to help hospitals replace aging CT scanner equipment.

Qualifying facilities may apply for funding to purchase new radiology equipment through a twelve-month grant. Qualifying equipment includes:

  • Fixed digital X-ray
  • Portable digital X-ray
  • Mobile digital C-arm equipment
  • Fixed digital fluoroscopy equipment
