Adam Sanders

Grants Manager

Adam Sanders is a Grants Manager at the Helmsley Charitable Trust. In this role, he manages all aspects of grantmaking operations and compliance across Helmsley’s programs. He also assists with maintaining the Fluxx foundation grantmaking system, organization-wide process improvement initiatives, staff training and onboarding, and providing technical assistance to applicants and grantees.

Prior to joining Helmsley, Adam was a grants manager and a senior philanthropic service administrator in the philanthropic solutions group at U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management in New York City. While at U.S. Trust, he was responsible for the grants management and fiduciary compliance of a large portfolio of private foundation and charitable trust accounts. Before moving to New York City, Adam was the grants administrator at the Blue Shield of California Foundation in San Francisco, CA.

Adam received his Master of Public Administration from the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at New York University and his Bachelor of Science in business administration with concentrations in marketing and entrepreneurship from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He is an active member and volunteer of PEAK Grantmaking and previously served on Philanthropy New York’s Committee for Equity and Inclusive Philanthropy.
