Ariela Baur

Dr. Ariela Baur is an Associate Program Officer for Helmsley’s Crohn’s Disease Program. In this role, Ariela contributes to the therapeutics portfolio of grants to promote novel therapeutics and innovative treatment strategies, aiming to expand current therapeutic options and ultimately to improve patient care and outcomes.

Prior to joining Helmsley, Ariela was a resident physician at the German Heart Center in Munich, Germany. There, her subspecialty training was in cardiology. In addition to her clinical training, her research efforts were focused on cardiac electrophysiology, specifically invasive treatment modalities for abnormal heart rhythms.

Ariela received her medical degree from Semmelweis University in Budapest, and the Asklepios Campus Hamburg of the Semmelweis University. Her research during medical school focused on comparing treatment options for abnormal heart rhythms using cryo-energy. Ariela’s hobbies include hiking with her dog, skiing, and cooking for friends and family.
