Ben Stang

Associate Program Officer

Ben Stang is an Associate Program Officer for the Helmsley Charitable Trust’s Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) Program. In this role, he helps to oversee the grants portfolio to improve outcomes for people living with T1D.

Prior to joining Helmsley, Ben was a development associate at Community Healthcare Network (CHN), a system of Federally Qualified Health Centers throughout New York City. With CHN he identified, secured, and managed grant funding for a variety of programs to address health disparities among medically underserved areas and populations. During graduate school, Ben held internships at the New York State Health Foundation, a private foundation dedicated to improving the health of New Yorkers, and the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America, a trade group representing the country’s leading innovative biopharmaceutical research and discovery companies.

Ben received his Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Health Care Policy from Baruch College, and a Bachelor of Science in Human Development from Binghamton University.
