Associate Program Officer
Ben Stang is an Associate Program Officer for the Helmsley Charitable Trust’s Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) Program. In this role, he focuses on the healthcare models portfolio of grants, which seeks to improve clinical care delivery and outcomes for people living with T1D.
Prior to joining Helmsley, Ben was a development associate at Community Healthcare Network (CHN), a system of Federally Qualified Health Centers throughout New York City. With CHN he identified, secured, and managed grant funding for a variety of programs to address health disparities among medically underserved areas and populations. During graduate school, Ben held internships at the New York State Health Foundation, a private foundation dedicated to improving the health of New Yorkers, and the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America, a trade association representing the country’s leading biopharmaceutical research and discovery companies.
Ben holds a Master of Public Administration from Baruch College, and a bachelor’s degree from Binghamton University.
