Laura Hobstetter

Associate Program Officer

Laura Hobstetter is an Associate Program Officer for the Helmsley Charitable Trust’s Crohn’s Disease Program. In this role, Laura helps to oversee the disease management portfolio of grants and supports initiatives with a focus on improving outcomes, standards of care, access to treatments, and the overall quality of life for people living with Crohn’s disease.

Prior to joining Helmsley, Laura was a researcher and program coordinator at Correctional Health Services (CHS) within NYC Health and Hospitals. While at CHS, she provided support in implementing programs, initiatives, and quality improvement measures related to the provision of medical care for patients within the NYC jail system. During graduate school, Laura interned with ICAP at Columbia University, providing technical support in an assessment of tuberculosis prevention, screening, diagnosis and treatment services for people living with HIV in the Central Asia Region of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan.

Laura holds a Master of Public Health degree in Epidemiology with a certificate in Global Health from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health, as well as a Bachelor’s degree from Seattle Pacific University.
