Rokeya Rahman is a Grants Manager at the Helmsley Charitable Trust. In this role, Rokeya works closely with the Grants Management team, providing critical support to programs and other functions at Helmsley to ensure a seamless grantmaking process.
Prior to joining Helmsley, Rokeya was a corporate responsibility specialist in the Office of Nonprofit Engagement (ONE) at JPMorgan Chase. In this position, she worked on the organization’s grantmaking process by preparing grants for approvals, processing payments, and providing critical technical assistance for grantees and applicants to build relationship and process reports. In addition, she collaborated closely with ONE’s senior team to successfully execute the firm’s public engagement activities. Prior to JPMorgan Chase, she spent time in corporate relations at NYU Stern, and in finance and development at Link Community School, a not-for-profit independent school in Newark, NJ.
A native and current resident of Newark, NJ, Rokeya graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and minored in Southeast Asian studies. In her free time, she enjoys practicing yoga, early morning runs, and people watching at Washington Square Park.
