Communications Associate

Tim Hone

Tim Hone is a Communications Associate who supports Helmsley’s Type 1 Diabetes and Crohn’s Disease Programs. He works in close coordination with the Communications Officer and program colleagues to create digital content that supports program priorities and strategies.

Before joining Helmsley, Tim helped to develop the voice of several mission-driven education and health-related nonprofits. At the Juvenile Diabetes Cure Alliance (JDCA), Tim managed all online and print publications from 2018-2022. As a content author for the American Museum of Natural History, Tim created the copy for digital and print materials for the Margaret Mead International Film Festival. He has also worked as an arts and culture writer for Brooklyn and Jersey Shore news outlets.

Tim holds a Master of Arts from the Great Books program at St. John’s College in Santa Fe, NM. He graduated from Ithaca College with a major in Communications and a minor in Writing. Born and raised in New Jersey, he currently lives in Brooklyn.
