Program Officer, T1D
Deniz Dalton is a Program Officer for the Helmsley Charitable Trust's Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) Program. In this role, she works closely with the Technology Senior Program Officer and the trustee of the T1D program in identifying new technology initiatives, providing analysis and due diligence of potential grantees, as well as monitoring and managing the existing Technology grants with her team members.
Deniz works closely with the legal department and the grantees to initiate and monitor industry collaborations and she acts as a liaison with other departments at Helmsley for the Technology portfolio. She also assists the T1D Program Director in updating and maintaining the program budgets.
Deniz has extensive experience in commercial real estate and brings strong project management, organizational, analytical, and networking skills to the T1D team. Prior to joining the team, she held the position of vice president of real estate operations at Helmsley Enterprises, Inc., and her responsibilities included overseeing the management and sale of nationwide assets. She has a M.S. in Real Estate Development from Columbia University and a B.S. in Urban and Regional Planning from Istanbul Technical University.
