Associate Program Officer, Rural Healthcare
Elizabeth Ruen is the Associate Program Officer for the Helmsley Charitable Trust’s Rural Healthcare Program. In this role, she manages the administrative components of the grantmaking process. Elizabeth is also responsible from programmatic support including communication with potential and current grantees and research in support of new strategy development.
Elizabeth has spent her career working in the nonprofit, healthcare, and government sectors. Her background includes roles in marketing, communications, fundraising, and grant development. Her experience in the healthcare field spans from health information management to primary care, most recently, overseeing communication and marketing efforts for a healthcare system.
Elizabeth earned a Master of Science in Administration with an interdisciplinary specialization in Marketing, Management, and Communications, and a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications with an emphasis in public relations. Elizabeth is currently pursuing a Master in Public Health.
