Wayne Booze is the Program Director for the Helmsley Charitable Trust's Rural Healthcare Program. He joined Helmsley in 2012 as Program Officer. During his tenure as an Officer, he focused on improving cardiac systems of care, EMS response, and addressing rural healthcare policy issues. Additionally, his technological background helps to streamline the budgeting and grantmaking, and grant management functions of the Rural Healthcare Program.
Prior to joining Helmsley, Wayne served as an adjunct professor at the University of South Dakota, and a senior research analyst for the government research bureau of USD, conducting and analyzing surveys and assisting local governments with ordinance revision and strategic planning.
Wayne earned his Master of Public Administration from the University of South Dakota in 2008. With roots in family farming, Wayne enjoys the great outdoors, including kayaking, cycling, fishing, camping, hiking, and hunting.
