Jenn Dickinson is the Director of Grants Management at the Helmsley Charitable Trust. In her role, Jenn oversees the full lifecycle of Helmsley’s grantmaking operations. This includes managing the online grants process, administering the grants database, grant monitoring, ensuring compliance with internal policies as well as external regulations, and providing training and technical assistance. In addition to supporting grantmaking operations across Helmsley’s program areas, the grants management department identifies and develops process improvements, supports the grant testing portion of the annual audit, and helps track and forecast grant-related budgets and cash outflows. Jenn previously served as a Grants Manager.
Prior to joining Helmsley, Jenn worked in nonprofit capacity building at KrasnePlows and at Nonprofit Finance Fund, where she assisted organizations with strategic planning, financial analyses, mergers and collaborations, and presented training workshops. Jenn began her career as a New York City Urban Fellow, later working in the NYPD Office of Management Analysis and Planning and in the Commissioner’s Office of the Department of Citywide Administrative Services.
Jenn graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in politics from Princeton University. She holds a Master in Public Administration with a specialization in finance from the Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service at New York University. Jenn completed the Council on Foundations Career Pathways program in 2021. She is an active volunteer in her home of Jersey City, NJ.
