Nicholas Wenham

Nicholas Wenham is a Grants Manager at the Helmsley Charitable Trust. In this role, Nicholas works closely with the Grants Management team, providing critical support to programs and other functions at Helmsley to ensure a seamless grantmaking process.

Nicholas brings more than 20 years of professional experience to Helmsley. Prior to joining Helmsley, he was the grants manager at The Patrick J. McGovern Foundation in Boston. As an early employee at McGovern, he managed the selection and implementation of the Foundation’s grantmaking system and developed all grantmaking policies and procedures for the organization during its startup phase. In this role, as well as his previous position as the grants manager at Peter Kiewit Foundation in Omaha, Nicholas was responsible for the grantmaking process, compliance, and agreement processing. Prior to Kiewit Foundation, he was a grants management associate at Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust in Phoenix. Preceding his career in grants management, he spent time as a grant writer and a medical case manager.

A native of Phoenix, Nicholas holds a bachelor’s degree in music from Arizona State University. Outside of work, he enjoys creating music, gardening, enjoying wine with friends, and spending time with Gage, his English Labrador Retriever.
