Irene Williams is a Grants Manager at the Helmsley Charitable Trust. In this role, Irene works with the Grants Management team to support programs across the full cycle of grantmaking to ensure a collaborative and seamless grantmaking process.
Irene brings over 20 years of non-profit experience to Helmsley. Prior to joining Helmsley, she worked at the William T. Grant Foundation as the grant administrator for their scholars and mentoring programs. In that role she was responsible for managing the grants process, financial due diligence, and working on the grants management team to make grant policy recommendations. She also worked with staff at the Foundation on redesigning their youth service improvement program and helped to launch their recent youth service capacity-building grants.
Irene graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in sociology with a minor in Africana & Puerto Rican/Latino studies from Hunter College. Irene is also a member of PEAK grantmaking and is currently the co-chair of the program committee for the northeast chapter. Outside of work, she is committed to voter engagement and education on both a local and national level.
