Emily Favata is a Grants Associate at the Helmsley Charitable Trust. In this role, Emily collaborates with program staff and the Grants Management department to effectively plan and execute Helmsley’s grantmaking processes.

Prior to joining Helmsley, Emily worked at GivingData, a foundation grantmaking system software provider. In her role as an implementation manager, Emily worked closely with foundation staff members to understand the goals of their foundation and then translate those needs into the grantmaking software. This involved analyzing their processes, identifying key areas for efficiency, and implementing new solutions based on industry best practices. Before GivingData, Emily worked at a healthcare revenue cycle management company.

Emily earned her master of science in system science with a concentration in health systems and her bachelor of science in integrative neuroscience from Binghamton University. Outside of work, Emily enjoys catching up on her favorite TV shows, practicing yoga, and thrift shopping.
