Aberrant tissue responses and microbial triggers that promote the development of UC pouchitis: Gathering clues to understand human inflammatory bowel diseases
The pathogenesis of Crohn's disease (CD) remains obscure and difficult to be studied throughout its entire course of development. This study aims to investigate pouchitis, a human model of CD, provide clinically relevant information regarding intestinal inflammation and identify host and microbial marker genes involved in disease onset.
