Project Title

Quantum computing and sensing with atoms, electrons, and photons

Project Description

This grant supports fundamental research necessary to construct quantum computers based on superconducting circuits and laser-cooled atoms, and to incorporate quantum physics into electron microscopy. If successful, these projects will lead to new computers capable of solving complex and dynamic problems that current computers cannot solve and will increase the resolution and sensitivity of electron microscopy that will benefit bioimaging.
