Erin Callanan is the Director of Communications at The Helmsley Charitable Trust, leading the team to develop strategic communications programs that amplify the impact of the organization.

Erin brings more than 25 years of experience in developing strategic communications initiatives for major brands and organizations. Prior to joining Hemsley, Erin was the senior director of external communications at WGBH in Boston, the nation's leading public media organization, where she was responsible for the organization's brand reputation and led a team that leveraged multi-channel communications to deliver results and tell the stories that matter. Earlier in her career, she ran a successful public relations and integrated marketing agency, advising both nonprofit and municipal clients. She worked as a communications consultant to The Boston Globe and as Vice President at Weber Shandwick, one of the leading multi-national public relations firms.

Erin graduated from Boston College with a B.A. in political science and speech communications. She is the recipient of the Diane Davis Award for public relations leadership from the Public Relations Society of America’s Boston Chapter.
