Project Title

Real-time Post-op Touchless, Remote Monitoring in Crohn's disease: The Sapphire Trial

Project Description

Post-operative CD management is currently arbitrary due to the lack of effective monitoring for disease recurrence. In this study, investigators will conduct a multi-center randomized, controlled clinical trial comparing individuals who have undergone an intestinal resection randomized to real-time monitoring via passive digital health technology with prompt notification of the care team of a potential flare versus standard care and monitoring without notification for subsequent analysis after trial completion. If successful, this study will help establish a robust post-op management procedure that reduces recurrence without overtreatment, improves care, and facilitates the adoption of continuous monitoring by physicians and patients.
