Dr. Paul Scholl is the Program Director of the Helmsley Charitable Trust’s Crohn’s Disease Program.
Prior to joining Helmsley, he was associate medical head for the immunology therapeutics area at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals. His responsibilities included strategic oversight of early-stage drug discovery programs for Crohn’s disease and leading the medical teams that brought several experimental therapies for Crohn’s disease into early-stage clinical trials. Previously, he was an assistant professor and attending physician in pediatric immunology and rheumatology at Northwestern University Medical School.
Paul graduated from Oxford University with a B.A. in physiology and psychology, received his medical degree from Cambridge University, and completed a fellowship in Pediatric Immunology, Allergy, and Rheumatology at Boston Children’s Hospital. He has also served as a grant reviewer for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation.
