KEVN Interviews Walter Panzirer about New Grant to Badlands National Park

Helmsley’s new $3.3 million grant will support the creation of a new visitor center at Badlands National Park at a time when the open space and beautiful vistas of national parks have grown increasingly important. KEVN Black Hills Fox interviewed Walter Panzirer, a Helmsley Trustee about the grant. “The visitor center is a launching point for the park,” Walter stated. “This is where the visitors get their first park experience, so it’s real important to have a modern visitor center that’s ADA-compliant and large enough to accommodate the groups, and also tell the cultural history of the Lakota people here.”
