VEO-IBD-Gene Discovery to Clinical Utility and Relevance of the Findings to Adult IBD Populations

Project Description

Central to the success of finding the underlying causes of VEO-IBD is organizing, transforming and integrating multiple patient-derived datasets into disease-specific biological networks. This study aims to understand the similarities between the causative genes in VEO-IBD and adult CD, define the relationship between these genes and their functional role in the various biological networks, design a common diagnostic tool for VEO-IBD and adult CD and determine shared targets for new therapeutic approaches for these diseases.
