PreveNtion of Extra-intestinal Manifestations and cOmorbidities in Crohn's disease: The NEMO project
The presence of EIMs and comorbidities has important consequences for the clinical management of CD patients as each impact the overall burden of the disease, the quality of life, and the allocation of health resources. If successful, this project will create innovative clinical tools developed specifically for CD that will improve the screening and management of EIMs and comorbidities, resulting in improved quality of life, increased adherence and response to treatment, improved patient outcomes, and decreased amount of time in hospital, postoperative complications, and mortality.
