The Women with Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Motherhood (WIsDoM) Registry: A Prospective Study of Female Fertility in IBD
This project aims to prospectively quantify the impact of IBD surgery, IBD medications, and patient-specific factors by collecting detailed information on surgical, medical and social history of the patients with IBD attempting to conceive. Investigators will analyze the collected data to create, test and validate a risk prediction model of infertility. The risk prediction model along with the analyzed results may enable patients to make well-informed family planning decisions and arm providers with accurate, high-quality data to counsel IBD patients appropriately regarding fertility, including surgical planning and timing of ART referral.
