Early life exposome biomarkers and Crohn's disease risk: The EARLY-CD project
Despite the established role of genetic and environmental factors in disease risk, specific biomarkers reflecting early exposures are lacking. This project aims to investigate biomarkers of early life exposures, from the prenatal period to early childhood, that may increase the risk of developing Crohn's disease (CD) and to assess how these biomarkers correlate with those of intestinal inflammation.
