Project Title

The Use of GLP-1R Agonists to Promote Epithelial Healing in Crohn's Disease

Project Description

A previous clinical trial combining chemotherapy and autologous stem cell transplant revealed specific growth factor changes associated with improved intestinal healing in refractory Crohn's disease patients. This project will determine if direct, pharmacological administration of those growth factors can improve healing and long-term outcomes while bypassing the painful processes of chemotherapy and stem cell treatment.
