International Development and Validation Study of the Enhanced IBD-Disability Evaluation Tool
The IBD Disk is a simplified, patient-reported version of the validated IBD Disability Index, which was originally developed as a visual consultation tool to assess disability related to Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). However, its use as a research instrument or clinical endpoint is currently limited by methodological issues related to item selection, measurement concepts, and scoring. To overcome these limitations, this project aims to develop and validate a new tool, IBD RADAR, that is valid, reliable, and patient-centered, and that more effectively captures patients' perceptions of the burden of IBD than existing tools. This tool is intended for both clinical assessments and research applications.
