Project Title

The Changing Epidemiology and Demographics of Crohn's Disease in the Western World over the Next Decade

Project Description

The infrastructure, resources, and personnel needed to care for CD patients will be stressed as the next decade will see the population of people living with CD increase to approximately 0.5% of the Western world, with nearly one quarter being over the age of 64 years and having various age-related comorbidities. This grant will provide essential future epidemiological data and a picture of the future CD patient which will prepare healthcare systems and care providers for the rising burden of CD.
