Project Title

Culturally Sensitive Group Clinic Model for Diabetes Care for Latino Patients: Feasibility and Dissemination to Other Diabetes Centers in the United States

Project Description

Funding to disseminate a new clinical care model for Latino youth and young adults with type 1 diabetes to four new clinics and to develop a manual of procedures to facilitate replication of the model. The Latino care model utilizes culturally-relevant nutrition and diabetes management materials, shared medical appointments and family-focused group events.
