Utilizing IPHOMED (Integrated Proteo-genomics of HOst-MicrobiomE-Diet) to decode biomarkers & nutritional cues in CD

Project Description

Building on the Helmsley-funded Nutri-IBD study, this project integrates IPHOMED (Integrated Proteo-genomics of Host–Microbiome–Diet), a platform that analyzes stool to measure active proteins from the host, microbiome, and diet. By focusing on functional activity rather than just genetic potential, this platform provides an objective way to track inflammation, verify dietary intake, and identify protein markers that predict disease flares and treatment response.
