Kim ranked 32nd among his peers by executive recruiters and boards for their pick as a Chief Investment Officer  – a jump from 36th last year. The criteria for selection was based on both portfolio management (track record, exposure, and manager relations) and non-portfolio management skills (leadership and communication skills, board interaction experience, and employer and educational background). Institutional Investor praised Kim’s prior experience and authenticity, and noted how he seamlessly answered complex questions on industry leadership and judgment at a prior Institutional Investor panel competition.
