Mobile ECMO Improving Care for Cardiac Arrest Patients

Supported by $18.5 million in Helmsley funding, the University of Minnesota is increasing timely access to quality cardiac arrest care in the state through its Mobile ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) program. This program strives to bring life-saving technology and practices beyond the walls of a single medical institution, including tools such as the state-of-the-art vehicle pictured above.
