Dr. Caitlin Ford is a Communications Associate who supports Helmsley’s Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) and Crohn’s Disease programs. She works in close coordination with program colleagues to create digital content that supports program priorities and strategies.
Prior to joining Helmsley, Caitlin was a graduate researcher at Columbia University, where she received her Ph.D. from the Genetics and Development program. There, she studied the genetic pathways that regulate face and cardiac development during embryogenesis. She also earned her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
In her free time, Caitlin enjoys swimming, poetry, and discovering new music.
