Deniz Dalton is a Program Officer at the Helmsley Charitable Trust’s Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) Program. In this role, Deniz works in identifying new T1D technology and device initiatives and improving access to care and T1D technologies by medically underserved people with T1D. She manages a portfolio of grants and conducts due diligence of new strategic areas and potential grantees. Furthermore, Deniz maintains the T1D Program budget and assists the T1D Program Director in planning the overall T1D Program grants budget.
Deniz has been with Helmsley’s T1D Program for over a decade. Prior to her role in Helmsley, she accumulated over 10 years of experience in commercial real estate and brings strong project management, contract negotiation, organizational, analytical, and networking skills to the T1D Program team. She has a M.S. in real estate development from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in urban and regional planning from Istanbul Technical University.
