Job Change

Job Change (Chan-gay) is an Associate Program Officer with the Helmsley Charitable Trust’s Vulnerable Children in Sub-Saharan Africa Program. Job was born and raised in Kenya before immigrating to the U.S. Job not only brings to Helmsley his personal experiences as a native and expert on Africa, but also cross-continental perspectives having lived, studied, and worked in Kenya, the United Kingdom, and the U.S.

Prior to joining Helmsley, Job worked as an independent consultant and researcher. In that role, and at the local level, he engaged and advised various youth empowerment programs in Kenya. He also has extensive experience working in the juvenile justice sector.

Job holds a master’s degree in Africa and international development from the University of Edinburgh, UK. Prior to that, he earned a Bachelor of Science in government with an emphasis in politics from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX. In his spare time, he likes reading books on politics, biographies, and international affairs journals. He plays soccer and is an avid runner. Above all, he cherishes spending time with his family.
