Julia Oliva is a Grants Manager at the Helmsley Charitable Trust. In this role, Julia works collaboratively with the Grants Management team to ensure compliance across grant awards throughout their lifecycles.

Before joining Helmsley, Julia worked at Bronx Community College (BCC) of the City University of New York for nearly nine years. For the last five years at BCC, she served as the College’s grants and partnerships director, overseeing their public and private grants portfolio ranging from $8 million to $11 million annually. In addition to restructuring the office to achieve greater operational efficiency, Julia served as a lead program developer and proposal writer. In this capacity, she secured some of the most impactful grants awarded to the College, including resources to develop cybersecurity & networking and health sciences degree programs.

Julia holds a master’s degree in public administration, with a concentration in nonprofit management from Pace University. In her free time, she can most often be found running after her two young daughters.
