Laurie Churchill

Dr. Laurie Churchill is a Program Officer for the Helmsley Charitable Trust’s Crohn’s Disease Program. Laurie oversees the diagnostics portfolio of grants, identifying and evaluating new opportunities to fund development of diagnostic tools, including biomarkers and novel devices, to improve the lives of people living with Crohn’s disease.

Before joining Helmsley, Laurie was the executive director of immunology therapeutic alliances and strategic partnering at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals. There, she was responsible for the development and implementation of the immunology partnering strategy, including the identification and evaluation of early discovery through clinical stage Crohn’s disease therapeutics opportunities.

Laurie earned her Ph.D. from New York Medical College in Pharmacology and completed a post-doctoral fellowship in allergy and clinical immunology at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
