Megan Luong is the Controller, Accounting, at the Helmsley Charitable Trust. She is responsible for managing the accounting functions related to grants, accounts payable, and program related investment activities, and assists with improving and maintaining internal controls to ensure Helmsley’s financial systems are consistent with accounting principles and aligned with the foundation’s goals. She originally joined Helmsley as an Accounting Manager in 2023.
Megan started her career with the tax-exempt organizations practice at PwC providing tax compliance and consulting services to large nonprofit organizations. She has since worked at several nonprofit organizations, including National Public Radio, and was most recently a finance manager at the Simons Foundation where she oversaw the organization’s tax compliance, grants, and investments accounting.
Megan received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Boston University with concentrations in accounting, finance, and law, and is a certified public accountant in New York.
